  • Description: One of the men demonstrates how to fit on a pair of skis. The group of Chasseurs Alpins skis from one side of a valley to the other and a few members demonstrate ski-jumping over a low jump, the majority falling over. Dogs pull sledges loaded with supplies through the snow up to the batteries nearby, including film taken from a sledge in motion, ending with irised shots of two of the dogs.The troops are both French and Italian, including Chasseurs. Following the Italian marchpast the King inspects and decorates some of the Frenchmen, and Maistre presents the Croix de Guerre to Italian officers, also one British and one French officer. The buglers of the Chasseurs Alpins sound the salute and the troops march past, some of them at the double.
